Default Team Everfrost recruiting??? :S

Ok so they won the tournament, I mean well done guys gratz.
But yesterday I saw members from Everfrost recruiting ppl with a rather awkward phrase "Join Team Everfrost, gold cape trim 100k a month"
100k a month?! what's that about eF?

Or it was some imposter trying to haggle money from stupid people that actually care about gold trims.

A former guildie of mine got invited into EW, just by pure luck after he helped some of them. This is the way the 'big' guilds should and probably are recruiting. If one of the top-ranked guilds would be recruiting like above mentioned, they wouldn't last long I think. You need a strong active but small base with people that know eachother well. Big guilds are just full of spammers and opportunists.

They need money for sigils.

That's all.

Look up the word respect. You'll see your post is completely illogical.

1) If they've worked hard for their cape and you don't know exactly how hard, how could you 'relate to' them anyways? For the majority, most people won't have a clue of how hard they worked. So they can't be respected anyways, people can only try to understand.

2) For the few who DO understand, I'm quite sure they've been tempted by lots of money.

3) It's not recruiting in the sense they play, they're just paying for a cape.

4) Do you think they care whether or not they have your respect? Stoned Phillips from Magic School Bus once gave me some good advice (maybe I'm not taking it, as I'm posting here ). Just play the game. Who cares what others are up to, really?

5) If it's not against the EULA - then what is the problem? Repeat, who cares? If people are dumb enough to waste their money like that, let them - no?

I think something should be done about that. What is up to Anet, but something should be done. Just my 2 cents.

a) and I suppose you saying that means that YOU understand and can 'relate to' how hard they worked.. lol are you in their guild/alliance?

b) [friendly advice] dont go saying things like 'most people wont have a clue' its an invite to those people giving back negative replies..

c) why cant we respect a guild anyways? ppl in my guild think Esoteric Warriors are a good guild and have high respect for them..

d) woopty doo [eF] or [puff] dont care if we dont respect them anymore.. so? fact of matter still remains that it looks dumb selling invites for membership

We already have a thread discussing this practice in the guild section, we don't need another thread on it!

One thread? There are like 10 threads about the different guilds participating in this. And it seems more are joining the bandwagon by the hour :P

I understand about competition in games and as for what I was saying. My point was vey clear. You didn't need to question it. I'm not in their guild. Been in Alliance. Regardless, you fail to see the point.

I'm arrogant. Keep it in mind because then you won't be making statements implying I care what someone thinks of me. Really, insult and be negative. I do not care. Nice you base your post around the personal. Mine was general.

To be able to respect you have to be able to relate to them. Kind of being on the same 'wave length' so to speak.

Well, I was commenting on your statement :

This one. So why you have said 'so' is beyond me, really it is; however, I don't wish for you to explain either. So please don't.

Now please quit the personal questions it'll just end up in flame. I'm right in what I said. My only questions were rhetoric; therefore, what I've said needed no reply especially as I was right.

There are other threads, where the intent is explained.

This isn't even a new occurance, it's happened for a long time - generally a way for PvP'ers to produce extra in-game money for their PvP achievements.

I'd have closed this, but it got moved. To an area that has existant threads.

[puff] was doing it because they are LOSING their silver trim in the coming days.

Now [eF] is a more interesting case. No imposters, it's real eF guys doing that. And that such a shame. We'll be having a bunch of pve n00bs running around with gold cape just because they paid for it. If they're not kicking them for no reason later, then selling invites is a completely legitimate thing but it feels so dishonorable.

By the way, someone posted a screenshot on AMP. It seems now they have two payment options. 100k per month or 400k for permanent membership.

That will net them the absolute worst of Guild Wars.

I think its quite obvious they arnt REALY looking for members, they are looking for money.

I do by the way think that in doing this one half wont care about them anymore and the other half are the kind of idiots to join them, and there is NO EXUSE for this sort of thing.

Yeah, basically they'll just keep to their small inner circle and everyone else is just a source of income and wont get to participate in GvG or anything.
